Import Gmail and Facebook Contacts to Yahoo Mail

Yahoo Mail comes with numerous exciting features and functionalities that come quite handy in carrying out different email tasks. One of such top features available in Yahoo Mail is the option to import contacts from other email accounts and social websites. If you have a Gmail and Facebook account and wish to import contacts from these accounts to your Yahoo Mail account, you can follow the step-by-step instructions provided below.

Steps to Import Contacts from Gmail and Facebook to Yahoo Mail

Importing Contacts from Gmail

  1. On your computer, open a web browser, go to the Yahoo Mail sign-in page and log into your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Once you are logged in to your Yahoo Mail account, go to the left-hand side of your Yahoo Mail account’s page, click on the Contacts icon located on the top-left corner.
  3. Under the Contacts section, you will click on the Actions A drop-down menu will appear on your screen.
  4. From the drop-down menu, you will need to click on the “Import…” option. This will open the Import Contacts section on the right-hand
  5. In the Import Contacts section, you will need to click on the Import button next to Google. This will open a new window on your screen in which you will be prompted to sign in if you have not already.
  6. Once you would have logged in, you will be prompted with notification in the same window. The notification will prompt you to allow Yahoo! to “See and download your contacts”. Here, you will need to click on the Allow
  7. All the contacts from your Gmail account to your Yahoo Mail account. After configuring Gmail to Yahoo Mail, any contact that you will add to your Gmail account will automatically get imported to your Yahoo Mail account.

Importing Contacts from Facebook

  1. Open a web browser in your computer, go to the Yahoo Mail sign-in page and log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
  2. Once you are logged in to your Yahoo Mail account, click on the Contacts icon located on the top-left corner of the left-hand side panel. You will be directed to the Contacts
  3. In the Contacts section, you will need to click on the Actions option. This will open the drop-down menu on your screen.
  4. From the drop-down menu, you will need to click on the Import option. On the right-hand side, Imported and Import more contacts section will appear.
  5. Go to Import more contacts section, click on the button next to the Facebook option. This will open a new window on your screen where you will be prompted to log in to your Facebook account if you would have not already.
  6. In the new window, you will be asked to allow permission to Yahoo to access contacts from Facebook.
  7. Simply allow the permission to Yahoo to access Facebook accounts and you are done. All your contacts of the Facebook account will be imported to your Yahoo Mail account.
